Who we are

ABEV & BEKE is the trading name of Meydan Ben-Barak, a sole trader, of 25 Ferncroft Avenue, London, NW3 7PG. He is the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

What we collect

This website has no contact forms, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising. We collect personal data in two ways only:

• If you email us. We receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.
• When you load the site. Our hosting provider and our font provider receive technical data that every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type. They use it to deliver the page and to keep the service secure. We do not use it to identify you.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the content of your email to reply to you and to discuss possible work together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. If you become a client, we also process your details to enter into and perform our contract with you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf or to deliver this site:

• Google Workspace, for email.
• Render, which hosts this website.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on this site.

These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and to maintain a reasonable record of our business correspondence. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email meydan@abevbeke.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
